This academic year, 2025-2026, the General Education Reform Task Force seeks to work collaboratively with faculty, students, staff, and alumni to design general education as a purposeful program with a beginning and an end, that allows students to understand, explain, and showcase the value of a liberal arts education.
The aim is to center student learning outcomes in a unified general education curriculum for undergraduates across all schools and campuses.
In Fall 2025, faculty and staff teaching undergraduate courses were invited to share their insights and expertise.
Participation in “Gen Ed Drafting Days” helped refine proposed student learning outcomes and curricular prototypes.
