Data & Information

The Data Analytics Team provides data support to the University community. Through business intelligence reports and predictive analytics models, the team supplies senior administrators with the information they need to make data-driven decisions. The team produces a variety of weekly, term-based, and annual reports and dashboards using data characterizing students, faculty, and staff; conducts ad hoc analytics projects to address specific questions; and oversees the administration and analysis of a number of University-wide surveys of students and faculty. In addition, the Data Analytics Team maintains Pitt’s Academic Analytics database. If you are a faculty member interested in seeing your data, please contact Vice Provost for Budget and Analytics Steve Wisniewski, Vice Provost for Budget and Analytics. The office also leads the Pathways initiative, a collaborative effort to support undergraduate students from enrollment to graduation. By combining technology, best practices, and analytics, Pathways helps Pitt leverage data and manage advising and academic support resources to increase retention and graduation.
