Applications Accepted for Provost’s Award for Diversity in the Curriculum

Dear Colleagues:

During the 2018-2019 academic year, the Office of the Provost will confer its second annual Provost’s Award for Diversity in the Curriculum, acknowledging faculty members for excellence in integrating diversity and inclusion into their courses and curricula. The award recognizes excellence in areas such as updated curricula, expanded cultural awareness, development of teaching methods that are especially inclusive and interactive, consciously created learning environments that are welcoming and inclusive, and other changes that positively impact aspects of diversity and inclusion in the classroom. The award is open to all full- and part-time faculty, and is presented at the annual Provost’s Diversity Luncheon.

I encourage you to nominate outstanding members of the University of Pittsburgh faculty for this award.

The guidelines for this award, a nomination form, and the award application are available on the Teaching Center’s Diversity website. Questions may be directed to Cynthia Golden, Director, University Center for Teaching and Learning (golden@pitt.edu or 4-7218.)

Please note that the nomination deadline for the award is October 7, 2018.

We look forward to receiving your nominations.

Sincerely,

Ann
