Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies Search

Provost Joseph J. McCarthy has initiated a search for a Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies.

The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies has an opportunity to build on positive momentum in Pitt’s undergraduate education efforts and is responsible for advancing undergraduate education, student success initiatives, and academic innovation. 

Strong candidates will have a broad range of backgrounds and interests and be committed to advancing the academic mission of the institution and working in a collaborative leadership environment.

Candidates for the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies position should be current members of the University of Pittsburgh faculty and should have experience with undergraduate education.

Initial interviews with selected candidates are expected to occur on Friday, May 31. Ideally, the new vice provost would start the position by July 1, 2024.
