Welcoming Catherine Koverola to New Roles

February 1, 2022

Dear Colleagues:

I wanted to share the very good news that, effective February 1, 2022, Catherine Koverola will serve the Office of the Provost in two roles.

First, I am pleased to announce that Catherine has been named Interim Director of the Center for African Studies in UCIS, reporting to Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Director of UCIS Ariel Armony.

As well, as a Special Assistant to the Provost, Catherine will work with Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Lu-in Wang on reviewing faculty actions and with Vice Provost for Budget and Analytics Steve Wisniewski, providing her expertise from a regional campus perspective on the development of a strategic enrollment management plan, among other projects.

Catherine brings deep professional leadership experience to Pitt—and I look forward to all that she will contribute.

Please join me in welcoming her to these new assignments.

Best,
Ann
