Advising at Pitt

At the University of Pittsburgh, advising and mentoring are integral to the University’s educational mission. We advocate for collaborative and holistic advising interactions.

Through the shared advising model, the Student Success team coordinates student systems of academic support by collaborating with colleges, schools, and campus partners to discuss best practices, share information, and provide resources in order to boost retention, persistence, and graduation.
