The Forge Your Own Path strategy, an evolution of the Personalized Education Initiative at the University of Pittsburgh, is a guiding principle which informs the development of our programming and empowers students to discover how they can apply their skills and target the resources that can benefit them most.
Four components—People, Tools, Information, and Infrastructure—come together to achieve this vision by activating the rich expertise and network of the Pitt community in combination with new and emerging technologies to create customized, meaningful collaborations, connections, and experiences that will prepare and empower our students to lead lives of self-determined impact.
