SCIENCE 2019 Career Symposium: Exploring Your Passions and Recognizing Your Potential

 Dr. Arthur Levine, Senior Vice Chancellor for the Health Sciences, will discuss how doctoral students and postdoctoral trainees can leverage their advanced scientific and analytic reasoning skills to solve challenging problems working in a wide variety of scientific professions. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with a variety of local professionals from science-related fields who will lead roundtable discussions about career prospects in a range of employment settings, such as academia, industry, and government organizations. Register and view the participating employers.

The Office of the Provost will host two panel discussions for graduate and professional students and postdocs who are parents or are thinking of becoming parents. Partners and children are welcome to attend. Pizza will be served. Panelists will include individuals who can speak about health insurance and University policies, as well as graduate students and postdocs who have experience with parenting while pursuing a degree.
