The Student Success Action Research Collaborative (SSARC) is the primary coordinating vehicle for Action Research at Pitt. A joint initiative between the Provost’s Student Success Team and LRDC, SSARC applies an Action Research lens to work already underway across campus—connecting interventions, building shared measurement, and ensuring that learning accumulates across efforts rather than staying siloed within individual projects.
SSARC makes existing work smarter by helping Pitt understand what works, for whom, and under what conditions. The collaborative operates through a Leadership Council, a Research Steering Group of faculty experts, an Implementation Network of practitioners, and Student Research Contributors.
