Dear Pitt Student,
As you’re starting to think about your next steps after graduation, you might be considering whether to continue your education with a graduate certificate or master’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Pitt2Pitt program can help. Pitt2Pitt includes more than 60 graduate programs from 12 schools—so there is something for everyone. Graduating Pitt seniors can apply for a Pitt2Pitt scholarship of up to $5,000.
That’s what first-year Master of Library and Information Science student Camilo Correal did.
“Pitt was always my first choice, but Pitt2Pitt really helped with that—the process of being able to talk to the teachers, the grad program advisors were always very open,” Correal says. “All of the resources at Pitt made it very easy to choose to stay at Pitt.”
Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2021 term. For most programs, the application fees are waived. A few programs can be taken part-time or fully online.
Learn more. A Pitt2Pitt Virtual Graduate Program Recruiting Fair will be held via Zoom meetings on February 2, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m. EST. You will meet admissions counselors from the Pitt2Pitt programs. They will discuss career paths, how to bridge the gap from your undergraduate major or current career to a different discipline, how the program will prepare you for the future, and the application process including scholarship opportunities. Bring your questions to get the answers you need!
Attend at least one school session and drop in to the General Q&A on February 2 for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card! To enter, put your name and email address into the chat section of the General Q&A session. Two winners will be randomly selected based on this criteria and will be contacted via the email provided.
RSVP required to receive the Zoom password that will grant entry to all individual sessions. You can RSVP at any time (even during the event) to receive the password to join.
Best,
Amanda J. Godley
Vice Provost for Graduate Studies
How It Works
Participants who sign up via a Qualtrics Survey can opt to attend up to four of 12 different Zoom sessions. You will be asked to RSVP to the sessions that interest you, and you will receive the session link and a password to access all of the Zoom sessions during the recruiting fair. Information on how to RSVP appears below.
During the Virtual Recruiting Fairs, each of the 11 schools offering Pitt2Pitt programs will host a 30-minute Zoom meeting every 30 minutes. The February 2 sessions will run at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. During these meetings, school representatives will talk about their programs, discuss career paths, how to bridge any gaps in prerequisites, and answer your questions. Additionally, a general 30-minute Q&A session will run at each of these times to answer your specific questions or to help you think about which Pitt2Pitt program is a good fit for you.
