Vice Provost Manfredi has a distinguished record as a teacher and has been deeply engaged with our undergraduate program throughout his career at the University of Pittsburgh. Manfredi’s innovative teaching of undergraduate calculus was recognized through the Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 1994. He guides our mission to provide an excellent undergraduate education in the liberal arts and professional schools for the selective undergraduate body at the University of Pittsburgh.

The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies is responsible for the encouragement of high quality undergraduate programs throughout the University. He works with committees of faculty, staff, and undergraduate students to review and make recommendations on proposals for all new undergraduate programs. He is chair of the Provost's Advisory Committee on Undergraduate Programs and Co-Chairs the Enrollment Management Committee with Vice Provost Humphrey.
